Yes, I see the resistance to neutering male animals all the time. And I guess that's the same concept as some yahoo who won't spay a female. They are "projecting" their thoughts and beliefs and fears onto the animal. I've seen many men who, when confronted with neutering their dog, instinctively grab their own crotch, so I guess they think neutering their dog is going to somehow hurt their own masculinity or something. So maybe it's like that for those opposed to abortion.

But I am serious. There is one right wing extremist woman who runs a local rescue in a small suburb of my city. She refused to abort a litter of puppies, but when they were about six weeks old and she didn't have them adopted, she sent them to the pound and I know they were put down. I do not understand the depravity in someone doing that, except I suppose in her wrecked up thinking, she wasn't the one who killed them.

Back on topic, however, I do believe there is a true relation between these women who eagerly give up their rights and vote for Republicans, and simple, standard self-esteem. They must really loathe themselves.
