contender but evidently was planning to stand down against Schumer to unify the party.

Reid also endorsed Schumer earlier. But that was before this outright betrayal of the President. http://www.marketwatch.com/story/schumer-durbin-top-contenders-to-replace-reid-as-senate-democrats-leader-2015-03-27

Reid had better "unendorse" him and soon! In fact, I will write to him immediately after this post and request that he do so.

There are certainly much better alternatives than Schumer. Durbin is just one. The link also mentions Patty Murray (WA) and Michael Bennet (CO). But my personal favorite would be Elizabeth Warren. That last would send a signal to the base that Dems are serious about being better than lukewarm.

Schumer needs to be deprogrammed from his current radical RW Israeli leanings. He is serving those masters well. But he is betraying his fellow Americans.

Schumer has already received a message from me expressing my personal wrath - respectfully. Now, I am joining with MoveOn, DFA and others to protest this.

EVERY Dem - not just Schumer - who opposes the Iran Deal had better feel our collective wrath. But Schumer's treason is especially heinous, given his power and standing. He cannot be allowed to get away with this.
