In reply to the discussion: Woman freely bleeds running London Marathon without tampon [View all]3catwoman3
(29,406 posts)210. I have never wanted to run...
...a marathon, for a variety of reasons. Now I have one more. I am an intensely private person, especially about bodily functions, and have no wish to have anything publicly "leaking" from me under any circumstances.
A related question. Would this be acceptable if done by female swimmers or the women's Olympic gymnastics teams? How about ballet dancers?

Get real. You're not going to get HIV by stepping, in your shoes, in blood with HIV.

Except on football Sundays when a mere drop of blood is little more than a badge of honor.

Some of the responses on here show why girls drop out of school when they get their periods.

When a person bleeds in football, he's taken off the field and tended to by doctors.

So, the NFL is bleeding over itself. What specific illnesses has it led to?

You're moving the goalposts. Either it's concern across the board or it's not.

Bringing the NFL into this is the logical fallacy of appealling to hypocrisy.

NFL players purposefully stay on the field during play, hence your movement of goalposts.
