As any person is reading it, that person is the "I" in the text. The OP is not about me. It is about all of us. Too subtle, I guess, but perhaps not for everyone. Try reading it again, but disregard who wrote it. It's original with me, but directed to everyone. You are the "I" in the post when you read it.
