For example, Nazi ideology was perfectly rational:
We Germans are suffering and don't deserve it; therefore it is some other group's fault. There's a group that lives among us but is weird and different, and some of them are richer than us, and the Bible proves they helped kill Jesus, and they've been recognized (by so many previous rational minds!) as horrible, duplicitous blood-suckers throughout history. Plus, they are dark and we are fair-skinned. Thus they are inferior.
The evidence is all laid out for us: Jews are the source of our problems. Let's kill 'em. Then we will be free and proud.
Of course it's rational!
