61. We pay them to inspect lunch boxes every day, for a school of six hundred

kids?

And then explain to various annoyed parents who say, "Why was little Johnny's World of Warcraft lunchbox unacceptable, when little Janie was allowed to bring HER lunchbox which had almost as much T and A, and thats discrimination, and youre picking on my chikd because he has Asberger's or he's French or blah blah blah..."

It's a school. Kids push boundaries, then make up "reasons.". Hundreds and hundreds of kids. Every day, ten thousand permutations of dancing on rhe boundary. Parents all want their day in court. Everyone wants to make sure there's no discrimination. Every parent ready to go on The View and call the ACLU if Johnny was discriminated against in some nefarious way.

Hence: In some cases, for some things, schools make hard and fast rules.

I don't want administrators micromanaging lunchboxes. I really don't.
