6. I am not in Jesus's head.

I am not in Jesus's head but I have read the Bible more than once and I am a Christian so I am more than a little familiar with what it means.

My problem is day after day hearing people who bleat on and on about how terrible it is to believe in an invisible friend (aping the exact words the freedom from religion folks use) and then at the Exact same time, using the Bible to shore up your views when it's convenient.

I believe in consistency, if your beliefs waver with each breeze, it's hard to take them seriously.

Please keep in mind I am not singling you (retrowire) out, I have no idea what you believe but your OP is why cherry picking the Bible without knowing context is useless.

The Bible is remarkably consistent and if you only reply with the darkbible as your source, I am not interested as well as whether unicorns exist (they are in the Bible) or why God asks the Israelites to kill everyone which they don't do to their regret.

the modern Christian only observes the parts of the bible that fit their personal narrative Takket Sep 2015 #1
