1. She's finding out just how "Christian" her fellow church is

but then again, she did the same thing to her deputies.

She's the elected official and now she's refused to sign the marriage licenses (because she doesn't want to go to
hell) but she's ok with going to jail so her deputies can sign the marriage licenses and let them go to hell.

The right thing to do--if this really was about her religious beliefs--was to resign and let someone do the job
who had no problem with following the law. But that's NOT what this is about. She's up to something else.
