forced into the concentration camps one town at a time family by family, person by person. They did not follow and they were not given a choice. Had not been given a choice for centuries before Hitler.

If the poster were instead referring to the ordinary German people at that time it would be totally correct. "How did Hitler get the ordinary German people to follow along blindly and not fight back." is the real question. And part of the answer would be that they were only concerned about themselves. He said what they wanted to hear - that someone else was to blame.

And in that sense you are right - they were the Fox News people of that day. Willing dupes who refuse to think. Who stood by and watched to disappearing of their neighbors and asked no questions. Who think as long as it is okay in my house I do not care what is happening down the street.
