Or until her term of office is finished or the legislature passes a law changing the license procedure, or some other thing happens that ends the duty she must perform as a clerk. With contempt of court, the judge does not impose any set amount of jail time as would be the case with a criminal conviction. As the saying goes, "she holds the key to the jail cell in her hands" and can get out anytime she decides to stop acting with contempt for the court's authority.
