when the nieces and nephews got annual Nat Geo subscriptions as Christmas presents. It was one gift that they always kept; they used them for school projects, then stacked them on their bookcases at home. But the magazines were never discarded. It was one publication that could be trusted.

Sadly, Murdoch's claim that he won't change the magazine doesn't merit any trust. Aunts and uncles will now find other gifts to give. What a damned shame.
