3. No more of my money will go to National Geographic magazine!

But then none of my money has since 1978 when I bought a life time subscription. It warms my heart to know that Rupert Murdoch will have to keep sending me the magazine for the rest of my life and that he will never make a penny off that obligation.

It's a good reason for me to aspire to live as long as my mother has - she's now 94 so I have a good thirty years if I'm lucky. Maybe longer since Mom doesn't look like she's going to keep over any time soon.

My only worry is that Rupert Murdoch will run National Geographic into the ground and it will either fold or it won't be worth reading any more.
