David Fox concedes, Megan Barry elected mayor of Nashville

Megan Barry has been elected mayor in Nashville’s runoff election.

Just before 9 p.m., David Fox took the stage in front of a crowd of supporters to concede. Fox congratulated Barry and thanked his supporters and staff.

“I don’t have any regrets,” Fox said. “We left them all on the field.”

As Barry addressed cheering supporters at the Nashville Farmer's Market, she called the night historic.

"This one is going in the history books," Barry said. "You elected the first woman mayor."
