You must have taken very good care of him, because 19 1/2 is a long, long life for a kitty. Yes, your heart will ache for a while. It's hard to lose our wordless little companions. Every pet is a gift, if we know how to receive it. I like the way you put it - your heart was re-arranged. Sometimes after a loved one passes, we can feel their presence for days afterward. When that happens, there's nothing to do but pour out love, because that's the essence of what we share. He loved, and loves, you as much as you loved him.
