11. There really isn't any evidence the same 28% or so of Republicans follow him

that didn't follow him weeks ago. It seems impossible to believe the Republican base is going to collapse around a blow hard that comes off as either unhinged or egomaniac. Not when you got calm cool Ben Carson waiting in the wings. In seriousness Ted Cruz seems positioned to win the primary battle, but it is only September and there's a long time before voters get serious.
