Helping Victims of Devastating Fires


Dear Friend,

Labor DayThe Valley and Butte fires in Northern California have devastated communities, destroyed hundreds of homes, and disrupted thousands of lives. They are among the most destructive fires in our state's history, and the pictures from the affected communities are heartbreaking.

Brave firefighters and cooler temperatures helped make progress against the fires, but there is still much to do and there are many in need. San Diego is no stranger to wildfires, and I will always remember the generosity of people from all over who donated money, materials and their time to help.

The Sacramento Bee newspaper did a great job putting together a list of places people can donate and volunteer to help victims of the Valley and Butte fires. Visit my website for more information on how you can help.
