measure the alacrity with which test takers "solve" problems. I have a "high IQ," but I noticed a LONG time ago that often the most erudite observations are uttered by those whose IQs are "average" or "below average."
So, maybe IQ tests reflect our species' rather ubiquitous need to impose order on our universe (using math, naturally, the oldest cerebral game ever invented).
Maybe, we just need to take each individual on their own merits...
