In reply to the discussion: Puppy shoots Florida Man---Deputies say Dog put paw on gun's trigger as owner tried to kill him [View all]zalinda
(5,621 posts)67. I know that this is a 'fun' story, but
in many places it costs $100 to $200 to spay or neuter an animal. And many shelters ask for a fee before they'll take in an animal, it is not uncommon that it would cost $25 or more to 'leave' an animal at a shelter.
I am not condoning what this guy did, but something has to be done about fees.
I know I'm trying to make friends with 2 cats that were left by owners, so I can get them spayed or neutered. They don't come around all the time, so I have to make them come on schedule, to get them when I can get an appointment with the Cat Coalition. One may not make it much longer, I don't know if she/he is old or in pain, but it has that look like it's giving up.

Trigger the dog told the man twice not to do it. "My Pa is going to make you pay for this"

I love stories of gun nuts getting their due. And I love puppies even more.

It is more responsible to put the puppies down than to turn them "free" of course on litter

My dogs are family. I have never understood how anyone could abuse any animal.
