3. I think it's pretty lame to argue that people who were laid off

Are responsible for it because they were 'too stupid or lazy minded to see what corporate America does to you.'

Actually, I can't tell for sure what you are even trying to say here. I was laid off once in a massive action that reduced the company's workforce by about 20 percent. I don't think it happened because anybody affected was 'too stupid or lazy minded.' It happened because the bosses decided that 20 percent of the workforce had to go. One day we had a job and the next we didn't. Our personal politics or beliefs didn't enter into it. Our jobs were on the chopping block and the axe fell. The 'intelligent and active-minded' were no more immune than anybody else.
