In the sky that I'll never forget, besides the '86 lunar eclipse.
A meteor shower while vacationing in Jackson Hole, WY. Was absolutely spectacular and went on for hours.
A solar eclipse when I was a little kid in Chicago. I don't remember the date or if it was a full eclipse. We watched it on a board we put on the ground while holding a piece of cardboard with a hole in it for the sun to shine through.
Oh, then some other thing that we assumed was a UFO. It was a ufo to us but I'm sure it was known to anyone with knowledge of the skies,
Sorry you missed Halley's Comet. I saw that one two. But you've caught some cool stuff!
