8. Our "news" media is as useful as tits on a bull

This is the worst it has EVER been. They're playing the presidential race as a fucking reality show. It is nothing short of a travesty. It transcends party. They play all of it as if the final event is to determine who will be thrown off the island.

There has almost zero discussion of issues on either side. Even the Joke Debates™ have been nearly 100% issue free, eschewing them for the goading of spats between the various passengers in the clown car.

I used to care. Not so much anymore since, clearly most voters don't either. We'll get whoever the big money guys say we get, caterwauling to the contrary notwithstanding.
