2. Does he even know who she is?

Sure, she's been big news in the US, but European news recently has been dominated by other things, such as the Syrian refugees (and before that Somalian refugees) and Putin's posturing and Eurozone economic issues that don't get much attention here. I suspect she was presented as someone being persecuted for her beliefs, with no background about not doing her job. I'd like to know who set up the meeting in the first place.

As for civil disobedience: people like Davis forget that it does have its consequences.
