11. As a teenager, I saw Lenny Bruce in concert twice.

He came on stage in a Nehru suit - this is 1960 - and Spanish boots and held the audience rapt for 90 minutes.
One of my heroes: During his last years, when Phil Spector managed him, and Lenny died, Phil said it was from
an overdose of police. Bruce was targeted everywhere, it seemed, he performed.
His records were good too.
