It cuts both ways. For example, those who oppose Hillary only because she's female and those who support Hillary only because she's female.

People whose self image is so low, that the only thing they can feel good about is, for example, that they have lily white skins. Or that religious prayer, thank god I was not born a woman.

Just as bullies are always cowards at heart, the stronger the prejudice, the more insecure that person is and the more self-loathing they struggle to suppress.
