10. I got news for you Bristol

"It is crazy that the government is offering a controversial form of birth control that can have serious life-long side effects to 10-year-old children," she wrote, "but then to do all of this behind a parent's back is simply outrageous!"

What's outrageous is to think that pregnancy at age 10 is preferable to an IUD. I don't think many girls are sexually active at 10 years old, but girls are hitting puberty younger than they used to. It seems to be weight related, since body fat produces estrogens. Menstruating 10 year olds isn't that uncommon.
