(29,239 posts)40. I did this in 2002 in Florida my Republican opponent spent more than $500,000 to defeat
my paltry little 25K I managed to raise.
The hardest part is that it is A LOT OF WORK... you have no idea until you do it. The other thing is, running against the odds you have to be psychologically prepared for defeat. And, even if you are, it can still hurt like hell because you have put so much work and effort into it.
