If you can .... look into your insulation. It might be better to spend money to super insulate your house to lower you heating.
2.5 inches of pink foam board placed under your siding ... taped and spray foamed, sealing the openings and cracks, will do the trick. Also, in the attic, spray foam any openings and around the the wall connections and then pump in loose cellouse .... then you will not lose any heat from the house. The house will stay cooler in summer too.
