Liberals sweeping Atlantic Canada with 66% of all votes counted so far [View all]

According to the CBC, the Liberals have received 66% of all votes counted so far, all of them in the east, which is about 40 points higher than in the last federal election, and a drop of 22 points for the Conservatives. This is, as the CBC is putting it in their understated way, "exceeding expectations" and could be setting the stage for a Liberal majority.

Current seat counts (updated): Liberal: 32, Conservative 0, NDP 0. (!)
(170 to form majority)

Peter Mansbridge: "In all my years, I've never seen a region of the country painted a single colo(u)r like this."
