Has anyone ever read Carroll Quigley's book Tragedy and Hope? The description of the Pakistani-Peruvian cultural axis is an interesting hypothesis. It describes Mexico very well. Farmers and other workers are viewed as lower class that can be stepped on at will by anyone willing to use violence to obtain wealth. Those willing to use violence will not hesitate to use it on each other to gain more wealth.
