1 lawsuit was the exact same scenario. A medic coming home from work on base, nodded a greeting to officer slam. He pulled over and confronted the guy. Wanting to know if the noise complaint was about him. The medic said something like No dude and officer slam lost his shit. Body slammed him and started pepper spraying him. He emptied the entice can of pepper spray on him. Meanwhile his wife came out to see what the commotion was and started taking pictures. She also got arrested and her phone was confiscated. When she got her phone back, the pictures were deleted. Officer slam won the case because it was his word against theirs.
2 lawsuit against officer slam was accused by a woman of battery and violating her civil rights during an arrest. The case was dismissed.
3rd lawsuit - pending. There was a fight off school grounds. Officer slam was not there but took over the investigation a month later. He accused a student of being involved in the fight and being a member of a gang. The student was expelled on Fields word alone. Fields claims that he has affidavits from 4 students, claiming the kid was in a gang, but refuses to hand them over. He also claims the kid told him he was in a gang. the kid claims he was never interviewed by Fields. He was the only one that was expelled, when there were over 30 students involved in the fight.
4th lawsuit will be filed soon.
The kids call him officer slam because he is know for slamming kids around when they don't obey fast enough. Even a pregnant woman. They complain, nothing gets done. It finally got caught on video<----that shocked the student more than his abuse.
I would say he should have been fired after the 1st lawsuit. Instead the police force covered up for him. Onto the Sheriff. He is being applauded for firing hem so quickly. Lott only fires his cops when a video go viral. Google off-duty cop arrests soldier at Buffalo Wild Wings.
