37. I have long been saying, as in since the early 1980s

that Jimmy Carter is the best President of the second half of the twentieth century. Back when he was being universally reviled and blamed for all the things that simply were not his fault, I knew he'd been one the best Presidents ever.

I've never gotten to meet him, probably never will, and for that I'm very sorry.
