The Republican Governor is even making it a priority. I think part of the problem is that prescription painkillers are so restricted so that people end up turning to cheaper street drugs to meet their pain needs.

Fortunately, I am violently allergic to opiates so I don't find them attractive. The downside is much worse than the upside is good. I am pretty much that way with all drugs. One bad reaction and I never touch it again. Unfortunately, too many people find the pull of the high too compelling.
