1. I paid $1.89/gallon for gasoline this week

so it seems Obama waited until exactly the right time to veto a risky enterprise that would have threatened sensitive park land along with important aquifers for absolutely no benefit to the US, only to the Koch boys and a few of their Canadian oil sands buddies. Nobody can squall about gas prices and pretend that pipeline would have done a damned thing to reduce them. They're whipped.

Oh, it'll be back in a few years, especially if (god forbid) a Republican gets into power again. However, by then enough will be known about the damage to Canada (without Harper to block information) that they might want to forget the whole thing.
