12. I grew up in Detroit until 1969

I now live in Ann Arbor because it suits my family's needs better.

I am referring to culture...Detroit had mosques in the 60's, lots of Lebanese refugees, and lots of tolerance as a city of immigrants. Ann Arbor today has the same, it's a small city with big city amenities, but not big scale city problems. Not saying it's Nirvana, just that it's not limited by its assumptions.
