Someone was on MSNBC about two hours ago, did not get his name, claiming that it was not ISIL behind the Russian plane or behind the Paris attack. That ISIL is just using these events to promote itself.

I don't remember whether he suggested just some individuals, like the Boston marathon bombers, or whether Assad may have something to do with this.
