1. why mention "deniers"? Nye speaks as if we can't move forward until we have unanimous consent.

That has never happened. For example, the theory of evolution is 138 years old now. Sane people use it predict what happens when you cross a Labrador with a Poodle. We don't run around saying 'we can't create hybrids until everyone agrees on evolution.'

Mr Nye, why is action on climate change allegedly held hostage by a small minority?

This false obstacle Nye is embracing also involves people that know the truth but are expecting to profit from climate change or the denial thereof. It isn't a matter of convincing them of the science -- they are paid to say otherwise:
