(7,581 posts)Fragile white girls were crying because someone yelled some mean things at them. But what of the actions in this country that led many of the protestors to the point where they protested?? First of all, the vandalized Black Lives Matter poster in the library, which started this protest. Then, the systemic, pervasive racism that black people experience, whether in a store, on a highway, in a restaurant or on an Ivy league college campus, where they are told they are "less than" by many rich white kids who claim the minorities only got in because of affirmative action.
Maybe after years of racism directed at you, you have more important things to deal with than the privileged white girls' tears. And I KNOW if my white daughter was being screamed at by people who have dealt with things she will never, ever have to deal with, she would have understood the reasons and not been crying about it.
