they won't believe mine, either.

I was driving down a road on one of the local Indian reservations here looking for someone I was supposed to interview. Lots of dogs there, which is OK, and some of them are trained to guard things, which is questionable. Pretty much all of them are inside most of the time or chained/caged.

But, all of a sudden two pit bulls came flying out of a yard, as if let loose, and were bouncing off the car. Left a small dent in one fender. I couldn't see exactly what they were doing down there, 'cause no way in hell am I getting out, but a few minutes after getting off the reservation a tire went flat from a hole in the sidewall.

Pissed as I was, I had to laugh at the two Yorkies bringing up the rear trying to keep up with the pit bulls.

Just a week ago I was at another house with a pit bull. Friendly but almost hyperactive dog. Incredibly heavy and powerful. When he jumped on me and pawed at my leg I had never felt any animal as powerful as this dog. Those doggie paw swats you get as a hello? This one felt like a club-- I can't imagine the destruction if he was pissed.

And don't get me started on the friend of mine who was riding his bicycle a few years ago and ended up in the hospital when a pit bull came flying out of a yard and knocked him off. There were people around who pulled the dog off but he still spent time in the emergency room.
