All those people who puzzle us by voting regularly against their own best economic interests?

They all have deeply ingrained the Horatio Alger myth. If I just do this or this ... I WILL BE WEALTHY, TOO!!! What is blocking my way? Why it's MINORITIES, IMMIGRANTS, GREEDY UNION PEOPLE! If they can be destroyed then I WILL SUCCEED.

It's Joe the Plumber. What are going to do my small business with your taxes? Okay, so I don't OWN a small business, and I'm not really a licensed plumber, BUT I will be successful, and then I don't want to pay taxes to support lazy poor people.
