That republicans voted to do this I don't think is a surprise to anyone. It is sad that so many Dem's decided this way as well but you can't really blame them. It is a simple calculation based on the “How could you let this happen” world we have created. Their political career can survive taking this position, it could not survive if a refugee/s really did do an attack. No one would be saying “it sucks that we got attacked but kudo’s to congress person X for taking the brave stance of not caving into fear and not allowing the refugees in”…no, no, no,…they would probably have to go into hiding.

It is the exact same reason Sony caved into not releasing “The Interview” everyone blasted Sony for being “cowardly” by not releasing it…but had one injury, let alone a mass event taken place at any theater Sony would have been bankrupted or another example would be all the complaints about having to remove shoes before getting on a plane but if plane would have been brought down due to a shoe device everyone would have gone mad asking how TSA could let that happen also...we can't have it both ways.
