That takes some nerve - to run into a place where there may be bombs, active shooters, whatever.
Kudos to the cops and the medics who ran into danger.
Edited: many DUers have pointed out to me how wrong I was with my original OP. I thought that some might not want to give credit to the brave first responders. So I've changed the OP to reflect that. This is a great community, and I was wrong to think that anyone would not credit those who deserve it. Mea culpa.

Honestly, I can think of any number of reasons encryption would be a good idea.
