(32,324 posts)If your neighbor wants her mat to read, "Happy Hanukah!" or "Merry Christmas," or any other holiday greeting (Kwanza, etc) it is her right to do so.
My opinion: You tried to clamp down on her right to express herself on her mat, so if she is the person who put Merry christmas on your package, I see it as retaliation for your interference with her, that you began.
I confess I have no idea if Fed law says she violated something relating to package and mail distribution, but I do say this:
Find a way to keep busy. Many people are deciding between meds and food, or utilities and food. My Northern Calif county was devastated by the wildfires, with about ten thousand people out of their homes. The fires' effects were absolutely catastrophic to most, even those who got checks for their homeowners insurance. And for the poorer person who rents, they are now living on someone's couch on in their car!
So please learn to count yr blessings and put yr energy into something more constructive.
