(30,520 posts)48. I never heard of Lazarus, I had to look it up.
The flagship store was in Columbus. It closed in 2005, it had opened in 1851. It appears that it was one of the four founding members of Federated Department Stores (along with Williams Filene's Sons Co., Abraham & Straus and Bloomingdale's). It's a pity that the only remaining member is Bloomingdale's.
