religion, 60% are against Jewish people or those who are thought to be Jewish. About 15% are against Muslims. There are more bias crimes motivated by racial animus or bigotry toward LGBT than to religion, over 3500 a year racially motivated and 60% of those are against African Americans.

Politicians in the US regularly denigrate LGBT, as do the right wing clergy in both Christianity and Islam.

Communities that are subjected to excessive bias crimes, as the Jewish community is, tend to oppose all bias crimes without reservations. As a gay person I am not simply opposed to anti gay crimes but to all bias crimes. Everyone is concerned with attacks on their own but only by being concerned with any attack on anyone can such crimes be reduced.
