(3,660 posts)Unless of course they are not just saying that Patrick et al will be nominees (that's the delusional part) but also that if they were it would be terrible because they are black (that would be the racist part). I'd be fine with a Patrick nomination personally, but 7 weeks before IA is a bit beyond cutting it fine. Do your friends understand the nomination process and that most delegates are pledged?
As to the headline question the answer is of course, and maybe even one of the names listed. Just not in 2017. FWIW here's my guess on "minority POTUS super accumulator" sequencing.

Muslim? Beyond fortseeable horizon most likely. Certainly generations.
The one we'll really have to wait for is atheist, or rather open atheist. We've probably already had more than one private nonbeliever. I truly cannot see the US electing a known unbeliever any earlier than Iran or Iraq doing the same.
