Kind of like the fox guarding the chicken coop isn't it?

The Federal Communications Commission on Tuesday released the roster of its net-neutrality oversight panel, which includes representatives from content creators, Internet service providers and software companies, among other stakeholders.

The new 21-member Open Internet Advisory Committee (OIAC) is tasked with evaluating the effects of the FCC's Open Internet rules, issued in 2010, and providing the commission recommendations for preserving an open Internet, FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski announced in a public notice.

OIAC members include Netflix's chief product officer, Neil Hunt; Charles Kalmanek, vice president of research at AT&T ; Kevin McElearney, Comcast SVP for network engineering; Chip Sharp, director of technology policy and Internet governance at Cisco Systems ; and Alcatel-Lucent Chief Technology Officer Marcus Weldon.
