It is ironic because Mitt's life goal is to be on another planet in which he is god. (It's a Mormon thing.)

Oh, and don't forget that while these two exchange pleasantries, Mitt is planning to steal grandma's social security and basically make our planet inhabitable for anyone not in the 1%.
