In reply to the discussion: Hey!! do you think for once we can avoid the STAR WARS MOVIE SPOILERS??? [View all]Orrex
(67,166 posts)107. Well, one hopes that you can still enjoy it.
I enjoyed the film Sense and Sensibility even after having read the book. Surprise is an important element, but it's only one among many.
What's the limit of fair discussion? Can two people on a sidewalk talk about it as you pass? Can someone talk on the phone about it to a friend who's seen it? Can two kids at a playground discuss their favorite parts? Can adults on the internet exchange ideas about it? Must everyone who enjoyed the film fall silent about it in deference to the wishes of a stranger?
I'm sorry that it got spoiled for you, but you're going to have to come to terms with it if you still plan to see the film.

It's a very reasonable request. I prefer the two-pronged attack though.
