Human beings don't take anything "at face value." We can't. Everything (literally) is interpreted and analogized the moment the perception enters our minds. Meaning is never found, it is always created.

Why does it surprise you that other people would form different analogies and interpretations, or create different meanings out of different ideas than you do? Why is that a problem?
