48. Yes, we must be close to the same age

We only lost Dad two years ago - he was 90. There are grandchildren though none will be at the cookout tomorrow. No fourth or fifth generation and there may never be. Half of my generation didn't have kids and it seems that the next batch of my family may not either.

On the other hand my husband's Mom is still hanging in there though she is only 87. Now, that family has four generations but they are not ready for a fifth yet. I think the oldest of the fourth generation is not quite ten.
